Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) is pleased to announce the release of the 2015 Annual Report entitled “Making A Difference.” It is available for download at www.mvrpc.org/about-mvrpc.
“The theme - “Making A Difference” – was chosen specifically to emphasize how MVRPC plays a regional role every day. We serve as the conduit between local, state and federal governments to ensure proper environmental, land use, and transportation planning happen on a broad basis so the entire Miami Valley Region benefits and thrives,” explained Brian O. Martin, AICP, MVRPC’s Executive Director.
“The report includes an introductory letter from MVRPC’s Chairperson, Carol Graff (Beavercreek Township Trustee) and me highlighting some 2015 activities and accomplishments. Plus, four local projects are showcased throughout the report. A notable one is the Jefferson Township Future Land Use Strategic Planning Project which employed suggested tools from our Going Places Initiative.” Martin continued.

Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities. MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region. MVRPC performs various regional planning activities, including air quality, water quality, transportation, land use, research and GIS. As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties.
