Federal Transportation Legislation Update

On December 4, both the Senate and House passed the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST ACT) (summary), which President Obama immediately signed into law. FAST ACT is a five-year reauthorization with $281 billion in funding.
A final compromise on transportation reauthorization legislation recently cleared the conference committee and will head to the House of Representative on December 3, 2015, and the Senate the following week. The Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST ACT) is a five-year reauthorization with $281 billion in funding.
