Virtual Public Participation Meeting to be held regarding the DRAFT Public Participation Policy Update

Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) will hold a virtual Public Participation Meeting to review the Draft Public Participation Policy Update. MVRPC is committed to meaningful and proactive public participation to ensure that projects and planning activities evolve from and address public needs. These forums, coupled with careful attention to feedback, will result in better, well-informed, legitimized, decision-making process and transparency to the community.

The Public Participation Policy is intended to guide and facilitate meaningful discussion and consensus building throughout the transportation planning process, as well as in other non-transportation related, but regionally significant plans and studies. This policy was developed in accordance with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ohio and local guidelines and customary practices.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, a video conferencing platform, and will be held as follows: Thursday, March 14, 2024 – 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

After a brief summary of the DRAFT policy, MVRPC staff will accept comments and answer questions. If you are unable to attend, the policy is available for public review on MVRPC’s website at mvrpc.org/about/policies and at the MVRPC offices, 10 North Ludlow St., Suite 700, Dayton, OH, 45402, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Written comments regarding the DRAFT policy will be accepted at the above address, web address, or via email at publicaffairs@mvrpc.org until April 8, 2024.
