Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) developed the 2019 Greater Region Transportation Coordination Plan for a nine-county area that includes the counties of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby, as part of the Greater Region Mobility Initiative (GRMI). GRMI addresses the challenges of coordinating and strengthening transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Two public meetings will be held to review and receive comments on the DRAFT plan.

The drop-in open house style meetings will include an opportunity to review and to provide comments on a DRAFT of the plan to improve transportation and mobility throughout the Greater Region. The meeting will include stations with display boards that provide information, staff to answer questions and collect input, and a rolling presentation displayed throughout the meeting. The public is encouraged to attend any of the above two (2) meetings to review the plan and provide input.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may review the materials outlining the proposed projects on MVRPC’s website at mvrpc.org/transportation/services-non-drivers/greater-regional-mobility-initiative. You may also review the materials at the MVRPC offices, 10 N. Ludlow Street, Suite 700, Dayton, OH, 45402, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). At all MVRPC public participation meetings, interpreters for hearing impaired individuals or bi-lingual interpreters are available upon request. Free parking is available on site at both locations. There are numerous Greater Dayton RTA transit routes convenient to the Dayton Metro Library.
Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities. MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region. MVRPC performs various regional planning activities, including air quality, water quality, transportation, land use, research and GIS. As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties. MVRPC serves the GRMI counties under contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
