Public Comment Request - REVISED FINAL DRAFT of the Greater Region Transportation Coordination Plan

Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) encourages the public to review and comment on the REVISED FINAL DRAFT of the Greater Region Transportation Coordination Plan. In lieu of an in-person public meeting, all documents are available for public review and comments on mvrpc.org/grmi. Comments on the plan will be accepted through September 2, 2020.

The Greater Region Transportation Coordination Plan addresses the challenges of coordinating and strengthening transportation services for seniors, individuals with disabilities and other non-drivers. The Plan is a component of the Greater Region Mobility Initiative (GRMI). The plan serves the eight-county area of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby counties.

Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities. MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region. MVRPC performs various regional planning activities, including air quality, water quality, transportation, land use, research and GIS. As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties. MVRPC serves the GRMI counties as the Regional Coordinating Agency under contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
