Dayton Area Board of Realtors (DABR) Rejoins MVRPC

Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) is excited to announce the Dayton Area Board of Realtors (DABR) has rejoined MVRPC, effective immediately, after a seven-year hiatus.

“The Miami Valley is one of the most affordable areas in the state and country to live and our housing market has made a strong comeback since the 2008 recession. Having the DABR at the table, as the Region continues to flourish, is a great addition to MVRPC,” stated Brian O. Martin, AICP, Executive Director of the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission.  “MVRPC’s monthly Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings are held at DABR’s headquarters and they’ve been a great partner with us as MVRPC continues shaping our region’s future together,” Martin continued.

Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities.  MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region.  MVRPC performs various regional planning activities, including air quality, water quality, transportation, land use, research and GIS.  As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties.
