Dayton, OH – MVRPC will hold a will hold a virtual Public Participation Meeting and three In-Person Public Participation meetings to review the FINAL DRAFT of the Greater Region Mobility Initiative (GRMI) Transportation Coordination Plan (GRMI Plan) Update. The GRMI Plan is a roadmap to regional mobility by identifying and addressing transportation barriers for those living in an eight-county region known as the Greater Region.

Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) invites the public to attend a virtual Public Meeting to review the DRAFT Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which includes roadway projects, bike/pedestrian projects, bus/transit and other transportation-related projects and services in our Region being considered for federal transportation funding in the coming years.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, a video conferencing platform, and will be held as follows: Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

After a brief presentation featuring a summary of the DRAFT TIP and how to submit comments, MVRPC staff will be available to answer questions and accept comments.

If you are unable to attend, information will also be available for public review on MVRPC’s website at mvrpc.org/transportation/short-range-plan-tip and at the MVRPC offices, 10 North Ludlow St., Suite 700, Dayton, OH, 45402, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Written comments will be accepted at the above address, web address, or via email at parnold@mvrpc.org until January 25, 2023.

The DRAFT TIP for State Fiscal Years (SFY) 2024-2027 is prepared by MVRPC in cooperation with local and state officials, along with other agencies. It is consistent with the amount of federal and state funding that is expected to be available to the Region and it conforms to the requirements of the Clean Air Act. Updated every two years and amended as needed, the TIP includes all federal and state surface transportation-funded projects in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and the jurisdictions of Carlisle, Franklin, Franklin Township, and Springboro in Warren County.

Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities. MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region.

MVRPC performs planning and research functions for our Region that ensure livable and equitable communities; clean air and water; robust roadway, transit, and active transportation options; and strategic community plans that chart the course for member communities and partners. MVRPC’s Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) involves Preble, Darke, and Shelby Counties. As the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties.
