The Emerald Ash Borer: Best Practices and Lessons Learned

The Emerald Ash Borer: Best Practices and Lessons Learned

MVRPC will be hosting a free session on how organizations have dealt with the  Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and what lessons can be learned from that experience. This event is part of our Sustainability Roundtable series, where a panel of front-line  experts share experiences and best practices.  The EAB has devastated trees in street lawns, forests, parks and yards throughout the Midwest.  Unfortunately, it is not the only invasive species that can cause extensive damage to Ohio’s trees.  The session will help you prepare in case there is a “next time.”  The session will be held:

February 25, 2016
9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Lake Conference Room
Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission
10 N. Ludlow Street, Suite 700
Dayton, OH 45402-1855

The session is free, but preregistration is required. Registration is closed. In event of inclement weather or inadequate enrollment, the event will be cancelled and registrants will be notified.

Panel members will include representatives of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Wright Patterson Air Force Base  and the cities of Oakwood and Springboro.  Please call Bob Steinbach at 937.531.6531 for more information.
