Regional Active Transportation Committee Meeting March 2024

This quarter’s agenda includes topics around planning, funding and advocacy - so there's something for everyone.

  • Update from Bike Miami Valley. Executive Director search and strategic planning.
  • Active Transportation as a Health Planning Strategy. Sheryl Wynn of Greene County Public Health will share how Active Transportation is included in county health plans as an intervention for chronic health issues. Milo Simpson from MVRPC will share the Local Plan Health Assessment.
  • Updates from Rails to Trails Conservancy. Eric Oberg will provide information on several advocacy opportunities coming up this spring and beyond. These will include a discussion of Celebrate Trails Day, and statehouse advocacy efforts.
  • Strategic Active Transportation Funding. Following up from the presentation at the December 2023 meeting Matt Lindsay will lead a discussion on developing a regional strategy for securing future funding under the Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program (ATIIP).
