b'MVRPCs Rideshare Program Demonstrates the CommuteResource Platform Gohio CommuteMVRPCs Rideshare Program was invited to present program information at the October 2023 Airport Business Park Logistics Roundtable. These roundtables are hosted by the Dayton Area Logistics Association in partnership with Montgomery County BusinessFirst! and the Dayton Development Coalition. These meetings aim to learn more about the opportunities and challenges faced by companies in the airport business park, gauge the regional business climate, and provide valuable connections and educational opportunities. The meetings are open to companies or organizations near the Dayton International Airport.Laura Dent, MVRPCs Director of Marketing and Public Outreach and Chanda Davis, MVRPCs Public Outreach Coordinator, demonstrated how users interact with the platform and how businesses can become network administrators to facilitate connections among their staff to help form carpools and vanpools. After the presentation, the group discussed scenarios and potential solutions. Representatives from Amazon, Crocs, P&G, Transportation Supply Depot, Grunder Landscaping and City of Vandalia representatives, attended the October meeting. As a result of this meeting, P&G has now setup a network on Gohio Commute. Their human resources staff are administrators to help facilitate matches to form carpools and vanpools to their campus. Learn more at MiamiValleyRideshare.org.Cycling Summit After the Bike to Work Day celebration, the 2023 Cycling Summit was held at the Dayton Metro Library. It was a day of cycling that brought together enthusiasts to share experiences, learn from each other, and discuss the future. The summit focused on the importance of making cycling accessible to everyone by improving infrastructure and creating bike-friendly cities. MVRPC staff participated as presenters and attendees, including Executive Director Brian O. Martin, who joined Five Rivers MetroParks CEO Karen Hesser with opening remarks. During the afternoon sessions, MVRPC staff presented an update regarding upcoming trail projects and the release of the 7th edition of the Miami Valley Bikeways Map. The session ended with an exercise where attendees were asked to review the current map,dream big, and think of trail connections that could connect trail userswest to east, north to south, but also connecting big and small loops.The Cycling Summit ended with mobile sessions to allow guests to visit regional bike attractions. Overall, it was a successful event to celebrate everything cycling. 21'
