b'MVRPC 2023 ANNUAL REPORTVIBRANT COMMUNITIESMVRPC supports Greene County and the Cityof Riverside in the Development of LocalCommunity PlansIn 2023, the City of Riverside and Greene County recently completed their new comprehensive and land use plans. Through a robust planning process that included an extensive public engagement and input gathering process, each plan establishes a vision for each communitys future and identifies goals, priorities, and strategies to achievethat vision.The ONE Riverside Plan is an update to the previous Cityof Riverside Comprehensive Plan, which was last updated in 2005. The planning process began in December 2021 and took about 16 months to complete. MVRPC staff provided technical data and planning support and served on the plans Steering Committee.riversideoh.gov/government/departments/community_development/land_use_plan_update.php THE PERSPECTIVES 2040The Greene County Future Land Use Plan was adopted by the Greene County Board of Commissioners in September 2023. The Perspectives 2040 is an update to Greene Countys previous countywide plan, Perspectives 2020. The planning process began in December 2019 and was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
